Scrumptious Sweet Potato Doggie Treats
So, its been awhile since my last post and today the guilt of neglecting my blog finally got the better of me. I’ve been busy moving, traveling a little, celebrating friends’ birthdays and developing vegan doggie food for my adorable little Lexi, who is now officially vegan!
While slicing up the sweet potatoes for her favorite treat this morning, I thought my first post back from my hiatus would be to show you how I make these for Lexi (and her doggie friends).
These are 100% all natural with absolutely nothing added. And, the bonus is that she LOVES them more than any
store-bought treat I’ve ever given her. These are quick and easy to make and very low cost. This whole container costs about $5 to make.
Soon, I will share the recipe for Lexi’s vegan dog food that I mentioned above and show you how it’s done. But for now, here is the lowdown on how to make these little gems:
Sweet Potato Treats
• 4-5 sweet potatoes (or as many as you like
according the the size of your dehydrator) • slice potatoes into approximately 1/4” pieces
• place potatoes on dehydrator racks and leave for about 12 hours, making sure to check
periodically for crispness • When potatoes are crisp and crunchy (like
regular potato chips) remove them and store
in sealed container at room temperature
Feed liberally to your fur babies and get ready for them to smother you with love. 🐶❤️
